Facilitate a Conversation on Ending Racism

In November, UAC hosted a special, virtual discussion to tackle the challenges of race, poverty, health, equity, and diversity in Philadelphia, entitled, “Ending Racism: This Is A Movement, Not A Moment.”

On January 18 (King Day), we invite you to join us in continuing the conversations to end racism during our Global Citizen's MLK Day of Service Project. For our service project this year, we are recruiting virtual volunteers to act as “Pod Captains,” who will facilitate guided conversations around ending racism with their “POD” or personal network, family, friends, or neighbors. Each conversation is designed to be no more than 30-45 minutes, and all participants will complete a very short survey to mark their completion in the service project.

Please use the dropbox below to access all the materials you may utilize to sucessfully facilitate your Ending Racism conversation. The dropbox link includes:
  • POD Captain Checklist
  • POD Captain Packet
  • POD Participant Packet
  • Zoom orientation recording
  • Orientation PowerPoint slides
