SERVICE Opportunity Details:
Reading Buddies. As a reading buddy, you will provide valuable one-on-one support to young readers to help build confidence. Reading buddies commit to read aloud with children. * This is a one time reading buddies opportunity at this event.
Optional activity: Yoga and mindfulness for kids after the Reading Buddies programing. Please bring your yoga mats!
DONATION Opportunity Details:
We are conducting a Book and Toiletries Drive!
We are in need of book donations in new or gently used condition (all ages). We are also in need of toiletries and personal care items. Volunteers are asked to collect books and toiletries/ personal care items for children and teens in homeless shelters. Donations will be sorted and packaged on the Day of Service for distribution to a local youth shelter.
Sign up to volunteer and help honor Dr. King's legacy of service. Toiletries and book donations do not require sign-up. Volunteers will be assigned activities on a need basis on the day of.
