Toward this goal, we work to reduce barriers and expand capacity for participation. As part of the larger Mayor’s Office of Public Engagement, OCEVS: Brings together government leaders, community members, and volunteers. Helps partners offer impactful service opportunities and celebrate the service community. Guides partners in making data-driven decisions and centering equity in their work. Our programs support local, community-driven problem solving. They include: Trainings for individuals and groups through the Civic Engagement Academy. National service opportunities, including the Serve Philadelphia VISTA Corps and Foster Grandparents. Local service opportunities through the Mayor’s Volunteer Corp
