http://mannapa.orgMANNA is a caring community of neighbors nourishing neighbors, helping individuals who are at acute nutritional risk and battling life-threatening illnesses such as cancer, renal disease, and HIV/AIDS. MANNA prepares and delivers delicious nourishing meals and provides nutrition counseling to clients in the Greater Philadelphia area. MANNA was founded in 1990 by seven members of the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia to help comfort men dying of AIDS. Today, MANNA is a vibrant nonsectarian, volunteer-intensive organization that serves men and women who are battling ANY life-threatening illness. Our mission is focused on improving the health and quality of life of those we have the privilege to serve. Currently, we send out over 35,000 meals a week, free of charge, with 97% of the work completed by our amazing volunteers! Volunteers are the heart and soul of MANNA.
