Opportunity Details

MLK Day of Service at Redeemer Tabernacle Baptist Church-Kids United

This years goal is to present our youth with the much needed education for health and mental care, violence, and education. Volunteers normally start out helping with breakfast and arts and craft and stay all day or leave right after March to 40th street. We are asking for volunteers to help with all parts of the day.

We'll promote this to the neighborhood as we come together West Philadelphia.

We will continue to start out with lite breakfast with poster making and get acquainted session introducing them to area where they can get help

We will then join in the march to 40th and Lancaster Ave mural to listen to King day of service speeches about these issues.

We will them head toward the Rotunda 40th and Walnut to allow the youth to perform their talents about king and issues they have talked about.

We will have lunch and join other perform and leaders that can encourage them in school at home and in their neighborhoods.

We start about 9 am and conclude about 4pm.
