The Cecil B. Moore Philadelphia Freedom Fighters are veterans of the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's, who, under the leadership of the late Cecil B. Moore Esq.,President of the Philadelphia branch of the NAACP, fought for justice, equality and the end of discrimination and racism in education, employment, housing and police brutality. The longest demonstration at Girard College, a school for poor, white male orphans, lasted 7 months 17 days, while the case was fought and won in court. Our mission is to keep the legacy of Cecil B. Moore alive in the history of Philadelphia and the world and honor the brave men, women and children who fought against insurmountable odds to achieve victory.
