Justice, Equality, Voting Rights, Incarceration, Ending Gun Violence

The Cecil B. Moore Philadelphia Freedom Fighters and the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity and "57 Blocks" project invite all to attend and participate in discussions around attacks on voting rights, downside of incarceration, ending gun violence and promoting a healthier living environment. Learn the history of Cecil B. Moore Esq. and Mel Dorn Shamlin, the fight to desegregate Girard College, and open doors to employment, education, housing, fighting police brutality, the activists involved and how it relates to present day challenges. "57 Blocks" project to reduce gun violence is a place-based strategy through the targeted investment of resources, services, and environmental improvements as gun violence is a racial justice issue. This initiative and the committed frontline heroes are engaging with the youth everyday and evening. Join the Black Clergy and "57 Blocks" project in this teaching session for a better and safer Philadelphia. There will be documentaries shown at 10-12noon  prior  to the start of the 12 noon-2pm program.
